Así es, nuevo.

Este no es el primer Blog que abro, pero si es el primero que construyo con mis propias manos desde cero.

¿Por qué abrir otro blog desde cero?

Llevo años con un blog personal, aunque más que un blog era una especie de Archivo donde comparto mis cuentos y poemas. Sin embargo, hace un tiempo me picaron los gusanillos de la "Web Sencilla" y la "Soberanía Digital". Si bien mi Blog actual es muy simple, técnicamente le "pertenece" a Blogger, y por extensión, a google; aparte, si bien blogger es muy util a la hora de sacar una web vistosa y ya lista para usar, me parecía un poco más limitante en ciertos aspectos en los que me hubiera gustado intervenir. Cuando aprendo cosas nuevas me gusta hacerlas por mi cuenta, y cuando aprendí un poco de HTML y CSS (A javascript no lo toco ni con un palo de tres metros), tuve ganas de hacer una pagina por mi cuenta. Pero por aquel entonces no encontraba un "motivo" real por el cual hacerlo, ya qu el blog de Blogger "funciona".

Entonces se juntaron varias cosas:

Descubrí Neocities. Este espacio que pretende capturar la esencia del internet de antaño y que está especialmente diseñado para sitio web sencillos y estáticos.
Descubrí 11ty (eleventy), una herramienta para poder agilizar la creación de sitios estáticos mediante el uso de plantillas y conversión de archivos Markdown (my beloved~♥) en páginas del sitio.
La apertura de mi Ko-fi, que me dio la motivación necesaria para crear la página y darle publicidad. Necesito plata we, ¡PLATA!

¿Y qué tendrá este blog?

En el menú de la página de inicio está todo:

El Blog, donde publicaré cosas más desenfadadas y variadas.
Los cuentos, donde estaré publicando las historias cortas que he creado.
Los Poemas, donde compartiré todos los poemas que he escrito.
Los Ensayos, que se diferencian con el blog en que serán mucho más centrados y profundos (aparte de largos)
La Galería, donde quiero compartir mis de modelos 3D Low-poly (hechos en PicoCAD y Blockbench) y el pixel art que he creado.
Más, donde está mi información de contacto y la otra página de Neocities que creé previo a esta, donde publico mi Fanfic de Sonic (XD)

Como este es un sitio bilingüe, primero debo traducir todo lo que ya tengo hecho para luego ir publicando poco a poco. Según la experiencia, lo mejor para mí es actualizar una vez cada 2 semanas, aunque el blog quizá se actualice más seguido pero de forma irregular (básicamente cuando me dé la gana).

¡Espero que disfrutes tu estancia aquí! Este sitio es un proyecto vivo, que puede evolucionar y mutar con el tiempo, siempre a mejor, de ser posible. Cualquier feedback es apreciado, y si de verdad encuentras valor en lo que hago y realizas una donación a mi Ko-fi, pocas palabras hay en el diccionario para expresar lo agradecido que estaría, de todo corazón.

This isn't the first blog I've started, but it is the first one I've built from scratch with my own hands.

Why Start Another Blog from Scratch?

I’ve had a personal blog for years, though it was more of an archive where I share my stories and poems than a traditional blog. However, a while back, I got the itch to explore "Small Web” and “Digital Sovereignty.” While my current blog is very simple, technically it “belongs” to Blogger, and by extension, to Google; besides, although Blogger is very useful for creating an attractive, ready-to-use website, I found it a bit limiting in certain aspects where I would have liked to have more control. When I learn new things, I like to do them on my own, and when I learned a little HTML and CSS (I wouldn’t touch JavaScript with a ten-foot pole), I wanted to build a website on my own. But back then, I couldn’t find a real “reason” to do it, since the Blogger blog “works.”

Then a few things came together:

I discovered Neocities. This platform aims to capture the essence of the internet of yesteryear and is specially designed for simple, small, static websites.
I discovered 11ty (Eleventy), a tool to streamline the creation of static sites by using templates and converting Markdown files (my beloved~♥) into site pages.
The launch of my Ko-fi, which gave me the motivation I needed to create the site and promote it. I need money, man, MONEY!

So what will this blog feature?

It’s all right there in the menu on the home page:

The Blog, where I’ll post more lighthearted and varied content.
The Stories, where I’ll be publishing the short stories I’ve written.
The Poems, where I’ll share all the poems I’ve written.
The Essays, which differ from the blog in that they’ll be much more focused and in-depth (as well as longer).
The Gallery, where I want to share my low-poly 3D models (made in PicoCAD and Blockbench) and the pixel art I’ve created.
More, where you’ll find my contact information and the other Neocities page I created before this one, where I post my Sonic fanfic (lol)

Since this is a bilingual site, I first need to translate everything I’ve already created and then publish it little by little. Based on experience, the best approach for me is to update once every two weeks, though the blog might be updated more frequently but irregularly (basically whenever I feel like it).

I hope you enjoy your stay here! This site is a living project that may evolve and change over time; always for the better, if possible. Any feedback is appreciated! and if you truly find value in what I do and make a donation to my Ko-fi, there will be not enough words in the dictionary to express how grateful I would be, from the bottom of my heart.
